Hypnotherapy is gentle therapy that uses hypnosis to replace negative or unhelpful beliefs and behaviours with positive alternatives. In this state, we can access our subconscious mind more readily and kickstart a virtous cycle.
It's important to note that hypnotherapy is not a substitute for medical or psychiatric treatment. Hypnotherapy can help with a plethora of conditions: weight management, menopausal symptoms amplified by anxiety, pain management, sleep disorders, phobias, fears, smoking cessation etc. Contact me for a free chat.
I usually see clients (including children from the age of eight) for six to twelve sessions, depending on their goals or their conditions. Clients get a realistic idea of the number of sessions they will need during the initial consultation, which is free of charge.
Exceptions: conquering a specific phobia will take three one-hour sessions* (in addition to a free initial consultation). Smoking or Vaping: a single two-hour session*. All clients will be given an audio download to help with sleep.
(*) If during the free initial consultation it becomes apparent that stress or anxiety have played a big part so far, clients may be advised to have an additional one-hour session to reduce stress.
